Determines the plot color of objects that use the selected drawing color. For example, to plot a red line in red, set the color property for style Color I red to Use Object Color.

To plot a red line black, set the color property for style Color I red to Black. Approximates a color by making dot patterns with one of the device's supported colors. Dithering is typically used if the plot device does not support the color you want to plot.

For example, to send a color plot to a monochrome device where each color is distinguished in a different shade of gray, enable the dithering setting so the plot device creates dot patterns for each color.

Note : Dithering is automatically turned on if you set a color screening value of 99 or less. Plots objects using the selected AutoCAD color as a shade of gray instead of a color. I just can't figure out how you select one of the styles to use in the Print dialog boxes.

Anyone figured this out? Never mind Man is that sucker small! You're not kidding!!!! It took me about 5 times looking at that dialog box to figure out that there was a tiny little arrow in the corner.

At least it now appears to stay popped out each time. Where is this? What am I missing here? Select the gear and choose edit. You can also get there in the current page setup style by typing "Plot" at the command line, then click on the Edit Page Setup button, then look for the little triangle in the lower right hand corner.

Figured it out and why this vital command is so buried is beyond my comprehesion. There are 2 ways to access this command:.

In the flyout menu choose Edit. In the Page Setup dialog box go down to the bottom right corner and you will see a tiny round button with a flyout arrow.

In a Color-Dependent Plot Style table you can specify the color, lineweight, linetype, screening, and so on that objects of a specific color will have when plotted. In a Named Plot Style table, you can specify the color, lineweight, linetype, screening, and so on that objects on a specific layer will have when plotted. With this style, it does not matter what color the objects are or even what layer they are on.

Named Plot Styles can be attached to specific objects or layers. If a style is assigned to an object, it will override the layer settings. Skip to main content.
