Did you try disconnecting the monitor power cable from the rear of the monitor, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in and see if it will power on and display?

I just did the same thing, ran the M3B firmware update which failed, killed the brand new UDW monitor. That's really nice. I received an email that I need to do a firmware upgrade, that my router has a critical issue indicated by the power LED being continously lit amber. I tried to download the upgrade and keep getting md5 checksum error and I have no idea what that even is. Basically, it is indicatiing that this is an error in the firmware, that can be as result of the transfer.
